Reeses are one of my husband’s favorites, however we tend to avoid packaged sweets. That doesn’t help the craving though! The brand Justin’s makes a cleaner version of the traditional treat, but I still prefer homemade to store-bought. Here’s a simple, two ingredient recipe sure to kick the cravings.
Almond butter (or any nut butter of choice)
Chocolate (I used cocao chips)
Melt chocolate (microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until melted or using double boiler).
Add a spoonful (approx. 1 tbsp) of melted chocolate to the bottom of the cupcake liner. Refrigerate until hard. Once the chocolate is hard, add a spoonful (approx. 2 tsp) of almond butter on top of the chocolate, keeping it in the center. Cover the almond butter with another spoonful of melted chocolate and put back in the fridge until it hardens.
*Too much chocolate makes it a little hard to bite so just use enough to cover the almond butter.
